FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is The Dam Park General Store open to the public?

The Dam Park General Store is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sundays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Stop in to pick up your favorite beverages, including a selection of beer and sodas, or to stock up on bait and firewood for your outdoor adventure with us.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made up to 365 days in advance. This will allow you to plan your visit in advance and secure your preferred dates and site spot.

What time is check-in?

Check-in time is any time after 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, all guests must register at The Dam Park General Store. If you wish to check in early, at 10:00 AM, it may be available for an additional $15.00 fee.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is any time before 12:00 PM. If you need a late check-out, it may be available until 4:00 PM for an additional $15.00 fee.

What are the requirements for reserving RV and Tent Sites?

You must be at least 21 years old to reserve an RV or Tent Site.

Can my friends come too?

Yes! All RV and Tent Sites include daily Dam Park passes for registered guests. Any additional guests can purchase Daily Park passes at the General Store.

How late can I check-in after park hours?

We recommend arriving before the General Store closes at 6:00 PM for the best service but we also understand different circumstances may occur. If you arrive after hours, please contact us at (830) 282-0662 so we can assist you as best as possible upon arrival.

Can I tour the park before making a reservation?

Absolutely, you are more than welcome to tour the park before making a reservation. Please visit The Dam Park General Store to arrange a self-guided tour.

What is the cancellation policy for RV and Tent Sites?

More than 3 days prior to arrival: Full refund minus a non-refundable $35.00 transaction fee.

Less than 2 days prior to arrival: The full amount of the reservation payment is forfeited.

Monthly reservation deposit: $150.00 is non-refundable.

How do I process a cancellation request?

Please contact our General Store Office at (830) 282-0662 during normal business hours to process your cancellation request. For reservations paid with a credit card, cash refunds will be credited to the credit card on file.

What is the past due payment policy?

If payment is overdue by more than 3 days, a $10 per day late fee will be added to the total outstanding balance.

What is the Day Pass Policy?

For RV and Tent Site Reservations: Daily Park passes are included for all registered guests.

For Guests Without Reservations: Daily Park passes and waivers must be purchased and signed inside the General Store. Daily Pass wristbands must be always worn while on The Dam Park property.

What is the refund policy for RV/Tent Sites and Daily Park Passes?

The Dam Park does not provide refunds or credits for RV/tent camping sites or daily park passes due to discomforts, acts of nature, weather conditions, voluntary departures, or evictions. There are no refunds after check-in.

What is the No Show Policy?

Any guest who has not arrived within 24 hours of the first day of their reservation and has not contacted The Dam Park rv park staff will be considered a cancellation, and the full amount of the reservation payment will be forfeited.

Do you have quiet hours?

Yes. Quiet time is enforced from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. During this time, no loud music, televisions, or loud talking is allowed. The use of generators is prohibited during quiet hours.

Children under the age of 16 may not leave their campsite after 10:00 PM unless they are going to or from the General Store or are accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my own golf cart, motorized scooter, hoverboard, or ATV to The Dam Park RV resort?

Guests are welcome to bring their own golf carts, motorized scooters, or hoverboards to The Dam Park.  ATVs are not permitted. All motorized vehicles, including golf carts, scooters, hoverboards are strictly prohibited within the grassy area of Park grounds and must remain within parking lots and posted areas. If you plan to bring a golfcart, you must provide valid ID and current insurance and adhere to our safety guidelines and park rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

How is the fishing?

Fishing at The Dam Park is fantastic! We offer two great options for our guests. The bass pond is excellent for young anglers to catch and release and prime spot to relax by the water. For those who prefer river fishing, the Guadalupe River provides a great spot to catch various species of fish. A valid Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing license is required for fishing.
